1. Overview
This Shipping and Delivery Policy (“Policy”), read together with our Terms of Use, outlines the procedures and guidelines for the shipment and delivery of products purchased through our online portal: corporateportal.embassybooks.in (the “Portal / Website”), operated by Embassy Book Distributors (referred to as “we,” “our,” or “us”).
We offer delivery services across India and strive to ensure a smooth customer experience by collaborating with top-tier logistics partners. Our objective is to handle your orders efficiently and ensure prompt and reliable delivery. Every reasonable effort is made to dispatch your order in a timely manner.
By continuing to use our Website and purchasing products through it, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined in this Policy. We recommend reviewing this Policy each time you use our Website. If you disagree with any part of it, you are advised to refrain from using the Portal or making purchases through it.
2. Shipping and Delivery Terms
To fulfil deliveries, we work with various third-party logistics providers (“Logistics Partners”). Once your order is packed and handed over, you will receive the details of the designated logistics provider responsible for delivering your product(s).
Books ordered will be despatched with 7 days. Shipping timelines depend on your delivery pin code and location.
Shipping updates and order tracking information will be sent to the email ID and/or mobile number you have registered with us. While we generally rely on logistics partners, and use the optimum courier services for your pin code.
Certain pin codes may be deemed undeliverable based on operational feasibility. If your delivery location falls under such a category, you will be notified while placing your order.. We reserve the right to cancel orders if a pin code becomes non-serviceable after dispatch.
To ensure successful delivery, we may request accurate shipping details including your full name, address, contact number, and any nearby landmarks. You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information. We shall not liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by you.
Delivery will be attempted at the provided address within the estimated time. If you are unavailable, our logistics provider will make up to two delivery attempts. If both fail, we may re-attempt the delivery using the same or an alternate carrier or cancel the order and initiate a refund of points based on the situation.
While we aim for timely deliveries, unforeseen circumstances such as logistical challenges, weather conditions, strikes, political events, lockdowns, or natural disasters may cause delays. In such cases, we will try to inform you using your registered contact details. However, we are not liable for delays beyond our control and cannot guarantee compensation for the same.
Our logistics partners and delivery staff are expected to maintain professionalism and integrity. However, as they operate independently, we cannot be held accountable for their actions or service quality. This includes, but is not limited to, delays, incorrect deliveries, damaged packaging, or inappropriate conduct. Any disputes arising must be resolved directly between you and the delivery personnel.
Once your order is dispatched, a tracking number will be shared, which can be used to monitor delivery progress on the logistics partner’s website.
Some orders may require a One-Time Password (OTP) at the time of delivery. If your order includes multiple components, please verify all items upon receipt. You should inspect the package for damage or tampering and must not accept any parcel that shows visible signs of tampering or damage.
If you return a product, we will arrange collection through our reverse logistics partners, provided the return request is approved by us.
